In this talk, we will explore some of the possible connections between (abstract) simplicial complexes (SC) and other mathematical objects. We will mainly deal with lattices and boolean matrices: under the appropriate notions, these structures may be used to represent SC, giving rise to our central topic, the very particular subclass of Boolean Representable Simplicial Complexes (BRSC) that contains all matroids.
