Célia Borlido was awarded with Fundação Eng. António de Almeida's prize (civil year of 2018), for the best doctoral thesis defended at FCUP in the years 2015-2017, in the areas of Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics. 

She completed the Inter-University PhD Program in Mathematics (PIUDM) with a thesis titled The word problem and some reducibility properties for pseudovarieties of the form DRH, under the supervision of Jorge Almeida.

Currently, Célia is a postdoc researcher at Laboratoire J. A. Dieudonné, Université Côte d'Azur, France.
