The Doctorate in Mathematics and Applications is offered by universities from Galiza (University of Coruña, University of Santiago de Compostela, University of Vigo) and Universities of the North of Portugal (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro,  University of Minho  and University of Porto). It provides training in the field of Mathematics and its applications, with an orientation for both the academic career and the labour market, providing students with various skills: design and develop original research, independently or in partnership; build a critical view of knowledge and reality; transfer knowledge to peers or society in general.
