On February 29th, 2008, there will be a meeting held at the University of Porto, in memoriam of Gene Golub. The event is part of a series of similar events replicated around the world on the same day - GeneAroundTheworld. It will include a remembrance of Gene's visits to Portugal as well as some technical talks in the area of interest of Matrix Computations.
